Everyone wants to grow. But not everyone is willing to grow.
That’s something I’ve learned the hard way—and seen play out in teams over and over again.

If you want to lead well and build something that lasts, growth has to start with you.

Here are 3 things I believe make all the difference:

1. Willingness to grow.

It’s not about how talented you are or your desire. I’ve worked with brilliant people who never moved forward, because they wanted to grow but weren’t willing to grow.
Willingness means being open to change, to be ready to step into discomfort, and being open to feedback daily. That’s where the real growth happens.

2. Seeing value in others.

Leadership isn’t about fixing people, it’s about seeing them.
Their strengths, their potential, their giftedness, and talent. What matters to them.
If you can’t lead based on what they value, they won’t feel valued at all.

3. Daily discipline to build culture.

Culture doesn’t get built in a day, but it does get built every day.
You either build it by design or by default.
And every choice you make is shaping it.

I’ll say it again:
Everyone wants to grow. But not everyone is willing.

Which one are you?
