We teamed up with Collective Pictures, director/producer Jeff Chan and writer/producer Chris Paré , once again - this time to create the opening titles for Code 8 Part II (The sequel to the wildly successful crowdfunded original). Much like in the first film, the goal was to establish an entire world-building history within a concise & exciting two minute sequence. We created a sequence which builds in tension and is told from the point of view of the media which, much like in our real world, is riddled with bias. In collaboration with our friends at Playfight VFX, we were able to delve into the origins of the new robotic K9 units as well as highlight the oppressing presence of the robotic officers known as Guardians.
Our role on this project was all-encompassing and extremely collaborative with Collective Pictures and Playfight VFX. Our team was brought in to conceptualize, script, direct, edit and design the graphics/titles/animations throughout the entire opening title sequence.
