Paying off your credit card can be a daunting task, but these tips can help get you to the finish line. 🏁🏎️
1️⃣ Determine how much of your income goes to paying off your credit card each month. If you can, consider cutting optional expenses to put extra money towards repayment.
2️⃣ If possible, pay more than your minimum required payment to shorten the repayment period and reduce interest.
3️⃣ Use your debit card and budget for new purchases to avoid incurring additional debt and interest payments.
4️⃣ If you have outstanding balances on more than one product, consider one of three repayment strategies: the avalanche method (paying off highest-interest debt first), the snowball method (paying off lowest-balance debt first), or debt consolidation (using a lower-interest loan to pay off higher-interest debt).
Once paid off, aim to pay your balance in full each month to avoid accumulating interest and negatively impacting your credit score.
