These are the different ways in how donors in Canada can donate to AMG International.
Check out this short video by AMG Guatemala about pastor Felipe and his family from Patuy, Guatemala. During the 19 years I lived in Guatemala, Patuy was one of the villages I really enjoyed visiting even though it was 3 hours on foot. This was largely due to pastor Felipe and his family. I spent many hours with them in good times and bad times. I still speak with pastor Felipe on a regular basis.
Felipe always understood the importance of education. When he was young he, together with his brother, would travel on foot for 5-6 hours to pursue an education even though everyone in the community told them they were crazy, education was not important, and created people who were lazy and thieves. Eventually, through the support of others, he got his high school degree in theology. and strove for the education of not only his children, but the children of his community. His daughter was the first girl to graduate from high school in the history of that community and even went on to university, overcoming many obstacles. Most girls in these rural communities get married at 15, some even as young as 13. Victoria now teaches in the education program we have there. Please pray for this work to not only educate and feed children and youth in this community, but more importantly to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“In these difficult times, our resources and movements are still limited. We are amazed by God’s daily provision of our needs. Many unexpected donors gave donations to Home of Hope amid the pandemic,” says Ritchie, the Executive Director and Supervising Social Worker at Home of Hope, an AMG orphanage in the Philippines.
Currently, 50 children live in the home, and Ritchie says this past year has been more challenging than in past years due to lockdowns, shelter in place orders, and the fear of the unknown. But God’s love, wisdom, and power have seen her and the staff through, and He has protected them all.
The Home of Hope staff is humbled at the support enabling them to care for these children without interruption, even though outside the home, the world has lived interrupted for more than a year.
