The Cronut
A hybrid between a croissant and a doughnut the Cronut is an invention of Dominique Ansel and is one of NYC’s legendary deserts
Made out of laminated dough, the Cronut has layers of buttery pastry filled with vanilla cream and traditionally has a lemon glaze.
It’s simply divine.
With my first bite, I understand why it’s such a favourite. The lemon provides a sweet balance to the fried dough and the crisp top and edges makes this such a satisfying bite.
