It was great to take some time off this summer to spend with my family and friends, but now it’s back to work.
In September, I’m looking forward to presenting a lecture to the students in the Advanced Criminal Law class at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Law. This lecture will be a journey through the evolution of fingerprints here in Canada.
Then there is a private class for my Friction Ridge Analysis, a Return to Science workshop in November.
Afterwards, I’ll be presenting a lecture to the “Congreso Internacional de Criminalística y Policía Científica - 50 Años de Formación en Ciencias Forenses” on Modern Friction Ridge Examination. This conference is being held at the Instituto Universitario de la Policia Federal Argentina in Buenos Aires. Tengo muchas ganas de hacerlo!
Somehow, I also have space to do some good old criminal case review work.
Ah, it’s good to be back!
I am very pleased to announce that the Brantford Police Service will be hosting my "Friction Ridge Analysis, A Return to Science" three day workshop which will take place in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, September 22, 21, 22, 2021.
The workshop will address current scientific guidelines in support of improving the quality of the processes used in friction ridge analysis. The workshop helps practitioners move away from a reliance on belief, training, and experience to a more scientifically derived opinion based system.
There are spots available and those that are interested should contact Michael Souliere at [email protected] for more details.
