4 WAYS TO REDUCE STRESS WHILE TRAVELLING AS A NURSE

Travel can be stressful at the best of times. But when your work depends on it, it’s time to get organised:

PLAN AHEAD
Know your schedule. Check your connections. Make sure you can make appointments as arranged - with time to spare.

HAVE A PACKING ROUTINE
Have a case that suits the length of your assignment. List what you need. Prioritise items you might not be able to find at your destination.

MAKE TIME TO SLEEP & EXERCISE
Your judgement is impared without sufficient sleep. And exercise helps you to remain alert. Make sure you set aside time for both.

TRAVEL WELL
Identify transport modes and carriers that work best for you. Reliability is key. If there’s a Covid or Flu wave, consider wearing an N95 mask or equivalent to reduce your chances of falling ill. Relax and enjoy the ride!

5 TIPS FOR FINDING THE RIGHT HEALTHCARE RECRUITER

Want to find a Healthcare Recruiter to suit your goals?

We have some pointers:

IDENTIFY A SHORTLIST
Select the criteria that you think matter most to you (location, types of work, specialities, etc.) and begin your search online. Ask colleagues and contacts for their experience and recommendations as well.

ASSESS YOUR OPTIONS
Are you satisfied with the type of recruiters you’ve identified to date? Do those recruiters offer professional options you hadn’t considered before? After the initial search, it’s worth reassessing your original aims. Could some other options also work for you?

PREPARE YOUR PROFILE
Once you have an idea about the recruiters you’d like to approach, refresh your resume and online profile. Think about the role(s) you’d like to perform. Make sure that when a recruiter checks your details they match what you tell them.

ARRANGE YOUR INTERVIEWS
If possible, always try to meet a prospective recruiter in person. Have a list of questions ready, but be clear about your ambitions and expectations. Note the answers of each recruiter and compare.

DECISION TIME
A good recruiter will want to help you achieve your career aims - after all, they want you to recommend them too. Which recruiter has the best connections, and has shown they’ll work hard for you?
