I arrived in Canada on March 27, 2017 thinking that…

it was only temporary.

My dream was to move back to New York, so I saw Canada as a stepping stone before working on my plan to move to the U.S.

People told me: “Start with Toronto, it’s like a mini New York”

Well… 9+ years later, I’m still in Canada…with no regrets for this country that I can now call home.

Canada made me grow,

Canada made me cry,

Canada made me laugh,

Canada pushed me out of my comfort zone,

Canada made me meet incredible people,

Canada made me experience true love,

Canada placed opportunities on my path,

Canada brought out my entrepreneurial side.

At the end of the day, what I keep is the positive.

And if I had to do it all over again, leave my precious Belgian fries and chocolate behind, go through all the administrative paperwork (God knows how complicated it can be in Frenglish 😅) to get where I am today…

I would sign again, without hesitation.
