Today I salute my friend
When we lose someone we love we ask what could we have done better?
Ideally prevention is the key to all premature illnesses.
Cancer is one of the leading causes of death today. Our lifestyles impact our risks.
Prevention is the key to cancer risk. It begins with a bounty of antioxidant rich foods DAIlY to repair your DNA. Antioxidants are abundant in your food basket if you will eat them. That's your fruits and vegetables.
Don't forget fiber to feed your gut biome which plays immunity and repair roles.
Alcohol is π« an antioxidant. It causes many forms of cancer as you've heard in my reels.
We need the sleep not just enough but well to recover and regenerate healthy new cells.
Exercise flushes out the toxins in our body. That's not just walking but it's a necessary first step. Try each day to do at least 8000 steps or 15 minutes of HIIT. Walking does not replace cardio.
Last but not least keep up with all your annual health screenings. That includes abdominal ultrasound, chest x-ray if you smoke, cancer markers appropriate for age and gender such as PSA or CA125, PAP smears, the mammogram and colonoscopy.
Cancers don't wait for when you decide to screen. Catching cancer early can save your life. And if not, prolong more enjoyable and memorable moments with loved ones.
β₯οΈ Saying goodbye to my friend. She lived a live supporting her family, friends and clients. Thanks so much.
