One thing about behaviour in the early years is that it never stays small,
It grows 🌱
Have you ever noticed how quickly something can come up,
Whether it's something they copied from a sibling or friend or figured out on their own... 🫠
I've seen this again and again, without fail
A new behaviour suddenly shows up,
and just as quickly, it spreads
because they’re always learning.
And it doesn't stop there
Because here’s the pattern that their brain picks up on:
If a behavior works once,
they’ll try it again.
If it works occasionally,
they’ll intensify it…
And they'll persist 🥲
Until it works consistently.
That’s how children learn what’s effective.
And this is where we, as parents, have to be intentional.
Not reactive.
Not inconsistent.
But clear 💛
Because what we allow quickly becomes normal
But our children are looking to us for leadership, guidance, and instruction.
And what we nurture,
will grow 💛
So parenting in the early years is about guiding with:
→ clarity
→ consistency
→ love
Using everyday moments to shape behavior
and nurture the fruit of the Spirit in our children—
and in ourselves ❤️🔥

It’s easy to think you have time
That they’ll grow out of it
That you’ll “deal with it later"
And even that the real work, or the hard work, comes later
But later is built on what’s happening right now 🌱
Because the early years are the most formative season of their life
They are the foundation for all that is to come ✨
And it's the time when they are learning by what we do, and the patterns that take place, more than what we say
So it's the season to be intentional
To lead with clarity and consistency
And to be purposeful in our words and actions
Because what you build now… will last 🌱

This week we got to bake cupcakes and jump in the ball pit and search for cute animals and just have lots of fun together 💝🥳

Understanding the love of God changes everything 💛 especially how we parent 🌱
When we truly know His love, we stop parenting from pressure, frustration, or fear… and begin leading from a place of peace, clarity, and confidence.
God’s love is not passive
It is not permissive
It is both deeply tender and perfectly intentional.
He comforts, but He also corrects.
He is patient, but He is clear.
He leads with love
and He calls us to do the same.
In the early years, this matters so much.
Our children don’t just need affection…
They need guidance.
They need leadership rooted in love.
When we are grounded in God’s love:
