Everyone loves the little ducks we use in our bath bombs, however what happens when I run out of ducks? Easy. I don't give a duck.

I know you love a good party in the living room but I get you, sometimes cleaning before the guests come can be a pain in the patootie.

So, a boy at one of my spa parties picks up my postcard and carefuly reads outloud, "Ideally suited for ages 6-106." Then he gets this really concerned look on his face, "But what if you're 107?" At that moment, I wondered how I had been living with myself this entire time. The policy has since been changed. We will no longer turn away 107 year olds.

Part 2

The number one question I get from hosts is:

"What do you need me to do?"

There's usually a mix of relief and confusion when I answer:

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

No matter how I explain it, I usually get the same look.

"Are you sure?"

"You mean I can just enjoy the party?"

Yep.

For the next couple of hours, my job is to run the event from setup to cleanup. I bring the tablecloths, the supplies, the music, the foot tubs, the rose petals, and everything else that somehow fits into my little Chevy Spark.

When the party is over, I sweep up the last rose petal and even take my own garbage with me.

I love giving the host a break and letting them enjoy the party they planned.

Have you ever noticed how, as adults, we've collectively forgotten how to just play?

Take my spa parties, for example.

At the beginning, they're usually pretty quiet. Everyone's on their best behaviour. Very adult-like. They're sitting there mixing ingredients together, and I can almost hear the gears turning and smell the smoke coming out of their ears as they're side-glancing at the person beside them.

"Am I doing this right?"

Then something shifts.

Someone goes rogue with the rose petals.

Okay, fine. It's usually me.

I'm the crazy rose petal pelting lady.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter how the laughter starts. But when it does, people stop worrying about getting it right and start having fun.

I think we need more of that.
