I had intended to primarily keep this as a collar page but given our follower growth I wanted to maximize the exposure on this little guy and hopefully get him home.
Guess what, everyone - we have another stray at Hartspride, and this one must have someone missing him! Please share!!

This is a gorgeous rescue and so well-behaved. This brings us to 15 rescues on our acreage, including our own and our fosters. Willing to place if an owner isn't found, in addition to 3 fosters looking through SOS Prarie Rescue.
NO REINFORCEMENT VERSION - We have had a lot of people question the actual tear away or tensile strength of our break away dog collars.
So - we put it to the test. Our supplier stated break away buckles begin to come apart at approximately 8 lbs of pressure. We did find this to be correct if the pressure is a sudden burst, however, for a slow and consistent pressure the buckles will activate at close to 14-15lbs of force IF NO REINFORCEMENT IS USED.
If reinforcement is used on the breakaway we have found between 28lbs of sudden pressure and 41 lbs of slow/consistent pressure to break the collars apart.

This collar is one of our newest colors, burgundy.
An average dog can exert 2-3 times it's body weight in pressure, please use personal judgement of the knowledge of your individual dog and break away reenforcements accordingly.

I just want everyone to know that each one of these collars is heavily scrutinized and random pulls are also life tested (and kept) by the fur staff.
Jokes aside, we are offically on Etsy, Ebay, pending authentication by Amazon, confirmed for lanuch at at Mistik Resort, under review by a Canada/US pet store chain, and will be designing a store front on Shopify as well as a landing page on our Aussie website once I have a few minutes to breath from day to day life.
