If they're scared, step one is to show them how it's done on dino. When kids see what to expect before it happens, the whole visit feels a lot less scary!

Does brushing your toddler's teeth feel like a full contact sport? Try this: let them brush yours first!

Giving them a little control goes a long way. Once they've had their turn, they're usually a lot more willing to give you yours. No guarantees, but it's worth a shot, and honestly, it might be the funniest part of your day!

Meet Haley, one of our Registered Dental Assistants! She came to us from general dentistry and knew pretty quickly that working with kids was where she belonged. We're glad she found us, even if it's only been a few months, she fits right in!

What she loves most about her job? The conversations she gets to have with kids. She says working with them has made her more patient and given her so much energy.

When she's not here you'll find her chasing her son around the park, strumming guitar, or rewatching One Tree Hill with a cup of tea.

Her tip for parents? Start dental visits early and keep a positive attitude about hygiene at home -- kids pick up on it more than you think.
