We are currently auditioning for the world premiere of ‘𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲’, an original musical by Rick Worrall, that will open in the fall of 2026 in the central Okanagan region. See details below…

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 is a heartfelt and sharply funny two-person musical set over the course of a single summer evening in a worn Moncton dinner theatre dressing room. Once-celebrated Broadway legends Liam Mitchell and Sarah Rogers haven’t shared a stage—or spoken honestly to each other—in years. But when an injury forces Sarah to step in opposite Liam at the last minute in Fiddler on the Roof, old wounds, unfinished love, and decades of resentment resurface backstage between curtain calls.

As the night unfolds through biting banter, emotional confessions, and soaring musical numbers, the pair relive the rise and collapse of their relationship while rediscovering the chemistry that once made them unforgettable. Guided—and occasionally manipulated—by an overworked young stage manager determined to save both the show and perhaps their hearts, Liam and Sarah must decide whether their story truly ended long ago… or if one final act still remains.

𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐇 – 55 yrs+ in appearance, mezzo-soprano. A leading lady. Elegant, poised, and emotionally guarded. A former Broadway star and Liam’s longtime stage partner (and ex-lover). She carries a history of betrayal with Liam but retains a quiet strength. She returns to the stage not for glory, but to
reclaim her voice—and on her terms.
𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘕𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘴: 𝘕𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘷𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭, 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘴. 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳. 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵.

𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐋 – late 20s to mid-30s in appearance, mezzo-soprano. A supporting role and the comic relief. She is a resourceful, overworked stage manager who loves theatre but is constantly putting out fires - literal and emotional. She is the unsung hero who holds the show together, including coercing Sarah into saving the production.
𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘕𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘴: 𝘍𝘢𝘴𝘵-𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭. 𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘨, 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘓𝘪𝘢𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘩. 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴.

The Creative House is beyond excited to officially announce the world premiere of ‘𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗥𝗘’, an original Canadian musical written by local artist, Rick Worrall.

𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: In the cramped backstage dressing room of a struggling dinner theatre, two aging Broadway stars are unexpectedly reunited for one last performance, forcing them to confront decades of heartbreak, ego, missed chances, and the lingering question of whether love deserves a final encore.

After already producing 2 musicals this season about guys who have written musicals we only find it fitting to present an original musical written by one of our own. Coming this fall to the Okanagan, you won’t want to miss this beautiful new show! Featuring local talent and live music.
