“There has got to be a better way” – that’s how Fitted was founded.
It all started with a trip to the mall.one summer day. Brothers and co-founders Aydan and Devlyn came away from clothes shopping empty handed, annoyed, mystified. “Our sizes varied greatly from brand to brand,” Devlyn recalls. "In one store we would be a medium, in others larges or even extra-larges. On top of that, the variety of choices and prices that we had seen and liked online weren’t available in stores.”
Back home, we started looking for a better way. There must be an app that we could use to avoid this problem in the future, we thought. But after months of searching and testing, we came away empty-handed (again). “At first, we were disheartened,” Aydan recalls. “Then our eyes connected from across our living room, struck by the same idea: Why don’t we just build one?” And thus, Fitted was born. We soon found Andrew, our CTO, also a disenchanted clothes shopper, who joined our “vigilante band”.
We designed Fitted to reduce the barriers between you and your next favourite shirt. “Too many people get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of choices and inconsistent sizes between brands,” said Andrew. “Fitted pares it down and helps you build up your personal style.”
