🌍 World Health Day 💙
This World Health Day, we’re reminded that health is more than physical, mental health matters too.
At Minds In Bloom Orleans, we believe that healing begins with being heard, supported, and understood. Taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body.
🧠 Prioritize your emotional well-being
💬 Ask for support when you need it
🌱 Small steps toward self-care can create lasting change
On this World Health Day, let’s break the stigma and encourage open conversations about mental health.
Your mind deserves care, too.

Coping strategies are the ways we respond to stress and challenges. Some help us move forward, while others may only provide temporary relief.
Learning healthy coping tools can make a big difference in long-term wellbeing.

Stress and anxiety are often used interchangeably, but they’re not the same thing.
Stress usually comes from a specific situation — like deadlines or exams.
Anxiety can linger even when the stressor is gone.
Understanding the difference can help you know when it might be helpful to talk to a professional.

Burnout doesn’t happen overnight — it builds slowly.
If you’ve been feeling constantly exhausted, disconnected from things you once enjoyed, or more irritable than usual, it may be your mind asking for support.
Therapy can help you understand what’s happening and rebuild balance in your life.
✨ You don’t have to handle it alone.

New survey results from registrants of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) highlight serious concerns about the proposed regulatory changes.
88% of respondents said they would change their practice if the changes proceed. When qualitative responses are considered, that number rises to 89.4%.
Most anticipated changes involve reducing or altering supervision, including limiting who psychologists are willing to supervise. This could have significant downstream effects on training, mentorship, and workforce development.
Perhaps most concerning, 22% of respondents said they are considering leaving the profession altogether. An exodus of experienced professionals would mean a loss of talent, mentorship, and institutional knowledge — with real consequences for both the profession and the public it serves.
These findings underscore the need for thoughtful dialogue and careful consideration of the broader impacts on psychological services in Ontario.
