Bebe Blue is a beautiful, 6 month old female betta.
She looks almost black under some lights but when the sun hits her just right you can see her vibrant blue coloring. She is quick and hard to capture by photo. Stay tune for some videos of this playful, speedy girl!!
Bebe loves her 10 gal tank and truly would live her best life in a 10. She loves hiding in roots and leaves and would benefit from a planted tank or a tank with surface plants. Her foster mama is well versed in plants and can support you with this process.
Bebe enjoys meal times, tannin rich water, and lots of places to hide.

Some great information concerning Betta care and tank size . . .

Do you have an aquarium or two - in good shape - just laying around? Betta Rescue could definitely use them! Any aquarium decor or supplies also welcome.

Please write us anytime . . . When you write - please send a photo of the aquarium and your general location. We even have a volunteer that travels to Victoria quite a bit and can arrange to meet or pickup along the route.

Introducing the one and only Biggie Smalls!

This gorgeous (giant) boy comes in about 2-3x the size of a typical male betta. He has gorgeous flowing fins and absolutely loves to show them off in his 5 gallon tank. His favorite spot to be is in his plant roots. You’ll see his sweet face playing peekaboo with you throughout the day. Biggie must go to a home with a heavily planted tank (either plants in the substrate; or surface plants with extensive roots and resting spots. Biggie’s foster mom is well versed in plant management and can walk you through how to best support Biggie!
Biggie loves all treats and foods - he says “I eat everything to maintain this lush bod!”

Biggie is a middle aged boy at about 1.5 years old. He should live another 2 (ish) years with good care. He absolutely does his best in a 5 gallon tank (long preferred) with a lowered water level to allow him easy access to the surface (and lots of room for your surface plants if you choose this route!). He must have plants in his tank and also benefits from hammocks and his betta log (both of which can go with him: $10 each on his adoption).

“Shali is a beautiful 6-month old boy. His gorgeous white fins have touches of greens and reds that shimmer when he moves.

He loves to make bubble nests and will offer one to you when you bring him home for the first time. He loves to rest in his hammock, which can be included for $10, and Jenny creeper, which will go with him for free.

He enjoys feeding time with soaked mealworms being his favorite snack. He would do best in a 5-gallon tank with a slightly lower water level so he doesn’t need to work hard to get to the surface with his gorgeous, showy fins!”
