NEW COURSE *SUN SIMIAO'S LONGEVITY EXERCISES*
What is so special about this course and why are we so excited about it?! ⬇️
This set of exercises was created more than 1,300 years ago by Sun Simiao, a legendary Chinese physician
You probably don't know them, because they have rarely been translated in English, and have even MORE rarely been demonstrated, if ever.
In this 3-hour online course, Ethan offers a unique transmission of these exercises through videos and presentations. Having personally translated the source material and drawing on over 30 years of experience in gongfu and taiji, he presents a coherent, embodied way to practice the routine—clearly demonstrated, carefully explained, and grounded in lived experience rather than theory alone.
Beyond the movements themselves, the course explores why this routine matters: how integrating it into daily life can support long-term health, improve how you feel in your body, reduce strain and stagnation, and contribute to longevity and disease prevention.

Discussion about this quote:
The Chinese word Shen means many things. It is used to talk about the mysterious force that gives us life, and the energy to find our way in life. How we grow, how we think, how we feel how we act are all expressions of Shen. Most translators have chosen to call this “spirit” which is reasonable but very incomplete.
In the clinic treatments work when the Shen is engaged and fail when it is not. We all know there is a mysterious thing that happens when everything goes right and the client's suffering lessens. How can we better understand how this happens and why?
Channel theory provides many practical answers to this question based on the idea that this mysterious force is completely linked to our blood and our qi and the manner in which they circulate. By understanding the road map to this circulation through the Neijing's Channel Theory we can understand how to craft treatments using our massage techniques that bring relief from physical, mental and emotional suffering.

The models and methods come from ancient times,
The proofs and confirmations are in this present moment.
I am interested in exploring these proofs across domains and disciplines. Surprising but not surprising are the neijing patterns reflected in the New York Stock Exchange. Wall Street is not the first place I think of searching for the Dao of heaven and earth....
