Broken tines, ripped ears and a hole in the back of his neck from fighting another deer. This bruiser of a buck was a fighter. He came down the mountain lookin for where the rattling was coming from and stood out of the woods high and proud. He really looked like the king of that mountain!

Chasing mature buck in Alberta is something special to me. No bait, no mineral licks, no secret potions. Just plain scouting and studying deer movements. The rut is something special time of the year in the woods and being able to interact with those animal is something else. I am very greatful to have been able to share this experience with a great group of guys and the gang at Alberta West Outfitters.
