Check out Marrapalooza 4 , The Old Coal Yard, “The Stormy Petrel” stage. The day’s events are in conjunction with Little Rocket Records / NECC / and us - Pouzza Fest who have worked alongside Marrapalooza to give bands a spotlight on the weekend’s festival covering several North East venues, with a wide variety of musical genres.

This stage is named after Joseph Ray Hodgson. Hailed as a hero dozens of times after risking his life to save people from drowning, often during a winter storm in the North Sea. Hodgson was nicknamed "The Stormy Petrel", after the storm petrel seabird, because whenever a gale blew up, he could be seen on Sunderland pier searching the skyline for ships in distress in order that he might help.

Marrapalooza is an independent festival showcasing the UK’s best grassroots music, held across venues in the beautiful Ouseburn Valley of Newcastle.

Our festival aims to be the most ambitious and varied feast of grassroots music in the North of England and Marrapalooza 4: Wild and Fierce and Not Bothered is our biggest and most ambitious festival to date. Thanks for helping us do this.

Pour nos amis en Angleterre / Europe, allez au Marrapalooza 4, The Old Coal Yard, pour la scène "The Stormy Petrel".
Les événements de la journée sont en conjonction avec Little Rocket Records / NECC / et nous-mêmes, le Pouzza Fest, qui ont travaillé aux côtés de Marrapalooza pour mettre en scène ces groupes sur le festival pendant week-end couvrant plusieurs lieux du Nord-Est de l'Angleterre, avec une grande variété de genres musicaux.

Cette scène porte le nom de Joseph Ray Hodgson. Salué comme un héros des dizaines de fois après avoir risqué sa vie pour sauver les gens de la noyade, pendant les tempêtes hivernale sur la mer du Nord. Hodgson a été surnommé "The Stormy Petrel", d'après l'oiseau de mer Storm Petrel, parce que chaque fois qu'une tempête explosait, on pouvait le voir sur la jetée de Sunderland à la recherche de navires en détresse sur la ligne d'horizon afin d'aider.

Marrapalooza est un festival indépendant présentant la meilleure musique du Royaume-Uni de la magnifique vallée d'Ouseburn jusqu' à Newcastle.

Notre festival vise à être le festival de musique populaire le plus ambitieux et le plus varié du nord de l'Angleterre et Marrapalooza 4 : Wild and Fierce and Not Bothered est notre festival le plus grand et le plus ambitieux à ce jour. Merci de nous avoir aidés à le faire.
