Mae Jemison made history as the first African-American woman in space. Back on Earth, she's dedicated her life to encouraging kids' love of both art and science. Even as she worked hard to achieve her goal of going to space, Mae never abandoned her love of dance. In fact, she says her dance lessons helped her prepare for the physical and mental challenges of being an astronaut!
