🌎 40 years ago, Vancouver welcomed the world.

In 1986, Expo 86 brought together 54 countries and more than 22 million visitors, transforming Vancouver into a showcase of the future—from transportation and communication to bold new ideas that would leave a lasting mark.

But behind the spectacle were the people who made it happen.

This series goes behind the scenes to uncover how Expo 86 came together, the people who brought the vision to life and the legacy it left on Vancouver, Canada, and the world.

✨ 40 years later, the story of Expo 86 is still unfolding.

🌾 Pitch Video Spotlight!

Congratulations to Danielle Payne on being selected for the TELUS STORYHIVE Films: Three-Part Docuseries Edition! 🎉

Behind every meal on a Southern Alberta table is a woman who helped make it possible.

“Rooted - The Women Feeding Southern Alberta” is a three-part documentary series that follows three women—a farmer, a chef and a baker—as they share their stories and trace the invisible thread connecting open land to community table.

Through their experiences, the series explores the people, passion and labour behind the food we share—and asks a simple but powerful question:

What does it really mean to feed a place?

We can’t wait to see this project come to life. 🌱 Stay tuned for this incredible story!
