The Conscious Passenger

Hey friends, I had a really cool after-dream experience today that led to an important awareness, and I'd like to share that story with you.

I've been deep in the throes of self-discovery about my business for the past couple months, really enjoying the process of slow and intentional market research, talking to people about their needs and wants, and also beginning a more conscious effort to network. As usual, this kind of 'hard-look' at what is has revealed more than expected about how I look at my own body of work.

I realized about a month ago, that when I was learning how to describe my work differently, that I was trying to fit myself into my modalities -- as if my modalities were boxes, fixed somehow in form. I wondered maybe if I should focus on describing what my work brings to the table, be more abstract. I tried, but it didn't quite feel right.

And then this past week, based on two separate conversations, I was shown that these modalities hold power and deserve reverence, and that in my own way, I help bring this work into this world. I saw how it didn't seem right to describe my work without my modalities, but I didn't know how to approach this.

Cue today's dream. It was a really full, vibrant, fluid dream with many moving parts. I woke from the dream feeling curious and alive and rested, which was something new. Taking some time to explore the concepts within the dream and comparing them to recent life experiences, I received a valuable perspective.

Each of my modalities -- Psychosomatic Energetics, Human Design, and Compassion Key -- they all have an essence. They all have a spirit that helps keep the energy of these modalities alive, moving, developing, mutating. There have been many modalities that have piqued my interest, however, these three grabbed me and I chose to run with them. And I ran quick, and I ran far.

I understood, somehow, subconsciously, unconsciously, that I could embody this work in this life and do something beautiful with it, for others, having already experienced it for myself. I realized through the conversations this week, that if I didn't believe I could fully embody these works, I wouldn't have been able to so deeply commit to them.

I, too, have an essence, I am an embodied essence through which these spirits can express themselves. I bring my own flavor, my own perspective to the information that flows through me. And it is in the union of my spirit and the spirit of the modality, that a unique and powerful expression can be transmitted to the one who needs to receive it.

It is really interesting to me, how easy it is to flutter between belief and disbelief of something that I do truly and deeply believe in. How philosophic struggles, which aren't often evident to the outside world, can strike down even the most determined spirits, and how determination appears tough and resilient on the outside, but the battle to persevere on the inside is an up-down, back-and-forth with the mind. Spirit knows when to push past and ignore the mind, there is a call within that maintains the compass point. Spirit has kept me in movement towards this remarkable destination, even when I was enveloped in the fog of self-doubt.

Becoming aware of the spirit of these modalities gives me a much better, much healthier perspective on my relationship with them. I look forward to sharing more over the coming weeks and months to give you a more in-depth perspective into each modality, sharing the wisdom and value that lay within each one.

It's amazing to consider how much information is at our fingertips. The internet is a reflection of the amount of information the Universe provides for us, and the speed at which we can access it.
It's amazing to consider everything we need is available to us, right here, right now.

Whatever is important for our soul's journey is present already in our reality, in the form of our experience. It is reflected in the small, and in the big. The pieces of duality here, are: The Experience (what is manifest) and The Opportunity (the potential). The experience is presenting ______ so that I have the opportunity to _________.

We can be infinitely creative (or not!) in how we fill in those blanks, however, transformation and transcendence of the experience is only possible when we fill them in correctly according to our soul.

That means we have the opportunity to develop our own skills of self-reflection, which can be grown through our own combination of conceptualizing and experimenting, as well as living out the consequences of how we choose to move through these events and reflecting upon them. Developing this skill of self-reflection enhances our awareness of our own experience of what it is to be human. Enhancing our awareness of this individual experience of being human allows us to naturally become uniquely aware, not just generally aware, but uniquely aware of how our life works.

For each person, life works in a particular way that is not meant to be generalized. At the same time, we do not live in a vacuum. Developing this awareness allows us to offer our unique perspective to others at the right time, so they can benefit from what we have learned, and we can benefit from who can offer that to us, too.

I love the analogy in a reel I saw recently, about how our current experience is the study flashcard the Universe provides for us to see if we have learned the lesson it holds.
