My heart is full. My spirit is elevated.

Two days at the "Rethinking Community" event hosted by the and ’emlúps Te Secwépemc was a profound journey.

It was a humbling space where the light and darkness of our shared existence were laid bare. The core truth resonated that Truth is the foundation of reconciliation.

We unpacked difficult truths, and hearts opened with honesty, deep empathy, and compassion. I felt the full spectrum of sadness and heartache, jolting joy and excitement. The agony, the promise, the purpose, the passion all collided and synergized.

I'm left with immense hope for Kamloops and beyond that We can live as one human race. This is the work, and it is beautiful.

My hope is that we live these lessons and don't leave them behind.
