Things that negatively impact your breathing quality:
Shallow breathing from anxiety and stress
Prolonged sitting
Sedentary lifestyle
Spending a lot of time driving
Spend a couple minutes each day doing chest opening exercise (lots of examples on our page) and deep breathing exercise - this can be as simple as focusing on taking deep breaths, filling your chest and belly for a minute before going to sleep.
Other habits that help improve breathing quality:
- Regular exercise
- Manual therapy
- Yoga & mobility
