Therapy provides a safe and non-judgmental space focused on YOU!

There is no need to apologize for talking a lot or being really quiet, eating or having a coffee, sneezing or coughing, crying, swearing (unless it’s at your therapist), background noise, and so much more.
You don’t need to apologize for focusing on yourself and not asking me about myself. This is time dedicated to YOU!
Come as you are, how you are, where you are. If you’re having a bad day and lying in bed, no need to cancel your virtual appointment. Lie in bed during session, I’m proud of you for taking care of your needs and listening to your body.

Disclaimer: Swearing at your therapist or any other forms of harassment will not be tolerated. While we want to meet you “where you’re at”, please note that you still must be able to give informed consent and you’ll have to be free from mind-altering substances including alcohol and ma*****na during sessions.
- Always check with your therapist if they have any boundaries for their sessions as all therapist have their own approach and levels of comfortability.

RE-INTRODUCING ME:

Hi Everyone, I’m Alexandra Postings, a Registered Psychotherapist 👋🏼

For as long as I can remember I’ve had a passion for helping others, and have been working towards becoming a psychotherapist since I was in highschool. For the past couple of years I’ve had the privilege to support many clients with a variety of concerns and from a variety of therapeutic modalities.
The work I do is so fulfilling, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Be gentle with yourself. You’re allowed to move at your own pace, even when the world feel like it’s rushing around you. Slow growth is still growth.

You don’t have to hold every responsibility, emotion, or expectation to prove you’re worth. Your value was never in the weight of what you carry, but in the quiet truth that you were already enough before anything was placed on your shoulders.

There are so many things that goes through a therapist kind while in a session with a client. Of course there’s the modalities, methods, tools and techniques on top of all the things we do say, but there’s SO much that we don’t say.

We are PROUD of you, we CARE about you, we WORRY about you. We have thoughts and feelings about you because we’re human 🤷🏻‍♀️

Taking a break when you’re feeling overwhelmed, overextended, exhausted, burnt out (and for so many other reasons) does not mean you’re lazy, it means you’re prioritizing your mental health.

IT IS OKAY TO TAKE A BREAK!

If you’re struggling with taking a break or managing the overwhelm, reach out for support!

Boundaries are not selfish, they’re…..
• necessary
• medicine for a nervous system that’s been running on empty for too long
• love letters written to the version of you that deserves rest
• the quiet revolution of choosing yourself without apology

Relationships need constant attention, dedication and work to continue working like a well-oiled machine. When we forget to “feed” or “oil” our relationships, they may become rough, rigid and unpredictable.
When you forget to “oil” your relationship for so long, you might forget what “oil” it needs or how to put it in.

That’s where couples therapy can come in! It can remind you to put the oil in, it can remind you what oil to put in and even help you remember how to put it in.

If you’re looking to get help oiling your relationship, reach out for a free 15 minute consultation! (Booking link in bio)

Keep going, even when it gets hard. You don’t know what you’ll miss out on if you give up.

Apologizing is more than just an “I’m sorry”, it’s also acknowledging where you went wrong and the consequences of your actions/words. It’s offering a repair and showing that you understand the impact you had. And it’s about committing to CHANGE.

You can apologize and acknowledge where you went wrong, but unless you’re going to try and change to prevent it from happening again, apologies can feel empty.
