About the play
Simon and Denise reside in a modest house on a quiet street, their life blissfully low-key and unassuming.

But when it comes to light that their next-door neighbour has been hiding a sinister secret, it forces the couple to re-examine the past, leading the audience to a surprising conclusion that asks hard questions about the bonds that unite us.

Such a great time seeing in Hamilton! I’ve loved their music from the moment I heard Pretty Hate Machine and was blown away when I first saw them live at Maple Leaf Gardens in 1994. Miss the old tickets and prices :)

A young girl named Beyonsea is sent to North America to join the mother she only knows through phone calls, barrels, and remittances.

Simone, Beyonsea's mother is a busy immigrant working two jobs.

Michael, their neighbour, who fled a Jamaican community, befriends Beyonsea and eventually introduces her to his alt persona, Melody Knowles.

Beyonsea and the Mothers tells the story of three Jamaicans who are brought together by circumstance in a place meant to give them second chances
