In the aftermath of the Holocaust, few could have fathomed that another genocide could unfold, this time targeting the Tutsi. Yet today, we bear witness to at least 10 other genocides that have either transpired or continue to unfold across the globe. To the survivors and victims: whatever steps you take to heal and safeguard your communities, remember that you owe no one an explanation. We must stand united in the pledge of "Never Again."

The brain, a small organ that makes up only 2% of your body mass, uses 50% of your body’s glucose. It does so because, as the primary command center of the body, it is wired to prioritize its survival.
Think of your eating habits during stressful times. When there is a stressor, your brain releases hormones that signal the body to take in a lot of energy to deal with the perceived threat. Because of this high energy demand, you will eat high-calorie foods, to give the brain a quick and temporary energy boost.
