Most business leaders start their business with the orientation and desire to create positive change in the world, however most of them don’t know how to accomplish this within their current business structures.

At first, during the start-up phase, energy is poured into getting the business off the ground. Employees are hired, revenue starts flowing in, and the founder can be exhausted from long days and late nights. Eventually, as the dream starts to take shape, the focus of the business shifts to more commercial activities. The conversations and relationships are centred around sales, marketing, and cash flow instead of vision, passion, and purpose.

Here’s where the energy of the founder needs to shift to the team. More people are hired, sometimes on a whim without strategic thought or knowing if the new hires truly fit with the founder’s cultural intention. The energy within the business goes from very strong and focused, to dissipated and scattered.

Does any of this sound familiar? Have you ever wondered why this happens? 🤔

We talk about this in-depth during the Scale-up Program!

Application deadline for the Program is 17th June 2022.

The Scale-Up Program is aimed at women-led, visionary, coachable founders building Product and Technology Companies across North America.

Our first Scale-Up Program ran from September 2021 to February 2022.

One of the biggest impacts reported by our participants was that they were able to create a common language amongst the group and within their own teams.

In the words of Flora Lewis “Learning another language is not only learning different words for the same things but learning another way to think about things.”

Megan and Natasha knew immediately that if they started to collaborate, their businesses would see immediate, tangible growth and scale results. They spoke a common language and understood each other’s businesses through the work they did together in the Scale-Up Program.

Megan’s business, ROCarbon Labs, has engineered an end–to-end carbon offset exchange for a complex world of high-quality carbon credits. Natasha (Respire) was completing her plans for an energy positive boutique hotel in France and immediately saw the brilliance in the ROCarbon solution. From her previous position as global head of strategy for GE Capital Aviation Division, she had the knowledge and network to bring ROCarbon’s solution to the European market, starting with hotels. Through a licensing deal for the hospitality industry in Europe, Natasha has been able to launch her energy positive brand in Europe and Megan has secured a significant foothold in Europe.
