What Jesse Watson built over the last three decades goes way deeper than boards and clothing. In LaHave Nova Scotia 🇨🇦 he created a home for generations of skaters across the East Coast of Canada. A place where kids found confidence, friendships, purpose, and culture.

A lot of people talk about supporting community, but Jesse actually lived it. He put people on, gave skaters opportunities, and helped keep the East Coast scene alive through every era since the 90’s

This is just 1 of the docs I’ve created over the years……this 1 particularly is a concrete story from the mid 90’s to early 2000’s in Halifax… before everything was polished, before the parks were perfect — it was raw spots, security chases, busted decks, and pure love for the culture.

This was a time when a handful of dedicated skaters turned nothing into something. DIY builds, late-night missions, filming clips on beat-up cameras, and pushing each other to go harder every single day. No clout, no followers — just respect earned on the pavement.

The scene wasn’t big, but it was tight. The kind of era where names carried weight because of what you did, not what you posted. The ones who showed up in the cold, who bled for clips, who built spots with their own hands — they laid the foundation for everything that came after.

This is a piece of Halifax skate history. Not just tricks… but a movement. And if you were there, you already know — that energy never left. 🛹
