I am truly lucky to be a part of this industry. The work our government is doing to grow the already amazing film industry in Nova Scotia is truly incredible.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Nova Scotia Government Invests in Film Industry Growth.
The government is investing $23 million to help the film industry grow sustainably and generate economic activity year-round. In a joint press conference this morning with Screen Nova Scotia, Premier Tim Houston announced two investments to support the industry:
- $8 million toward a soundstage that will increase the industry’s capacity, create more jobs and allow productions to continue year-round.
- $15 million for a new Nova Scotia Content Creator Fund that will support local film and television productions.
