Exponential Joy

There was a time when I pulled the covers over my head and didn’t want to face the day.
A time when grief felt heavier than hope.
A time when addiction, loss, trauma, and life itself seemed determined to break me.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
Rock bottom is not where your story ends.
It’s where you decide whether you’re staying there.
On June 18, 2026, I’ll be speaking at Alberta’s Battle for Recovery at the Edmonton Convention Centre.
This event isn’t about perfection.
It’s about possibility.
A stage filled with people who have faced addiction, grief, trauma, mental health challenges, and life’s hardest moments—and found a way forward.
Real people.
Real stories.
Real recovery.
If you’ve ever felt alone, defeated, or unsure whether things can get better, this event is for you.
Join us.
You might walk in looking for hope and leave with a new vision for your future.
💜 Recovery is possible.
💜 Healing is possible.
💜 Joy is possible.

There is a beauty in sunrises 🌅 and airports 🛬 It’s in the vacation enjoyed and looking forward to being home that brings a smile to my face. Big opportunities ahead and I am so incredibly grateful!
Lately, I’ve been sitting with this truth:
**What we become aware of, we can choose.**
Life moves fast.
We stay busy.
We keep producing.
We keep showing up.
And somewhere in all that movement, it becomes so easy to disconnect from ourselves.
We stop noticing what we’re carrying.
We stop recognizing the patterns we’re repeating.
We stop listening to the quiet parts of ourselves asking for care.
This is why healing begins with awareness.
It begins with the courageous pause.
The moment we become honest enough to ask:
 What am I feeling?
What is surfacing for me right now?
What is asking for my attention?
What am I finally ready to see clearly?
Because what we do not identify, we cannot change.
And the moment awareness arrives, choice becomes possible.
Then comes the next beautiful question:
How will I respond?
Will I meet myself with judgment?
Or with compassion?
Will I criticize what I discover?
Or will I lovingly nurture what is asking to heal?
I’m learning that healing doesn’t begin with fixing ourselves.
It begins with noticing.
With becoming aware.
With choosing to pause long enough to truly listen.
Because what we become aware of, we can choose.
And what we choose with love, we can transform.
What have you become aware of lately that is asking for your attention?
