Edmonton Development & Building Permits Service

With the City of Edmonton, when you are planning to develop a property rather it is a basement, a restaurant, a new garage or a new house, you will need to apply for both the Development Permit and the Building Permit. Both permits must be approved first before you can development your property.

City of Edmonton permits require all change of use developments in Edmonton to obtain a Development Permit. If you are changing a use of a space, a building or a property, you will require an approved Development Permit from the City of Edmonton. A Building Permit may also be required.
