I had slipped into a bit of a downward spiral on and off last month(s) and realized that I was letting my thoughts consume me. I kept asking myself why I couldn’t get back to that place where I could see the good. Where had my pure heart gone? Why can’t I get it back? Why can’t I remember how I got it back? So I peeled back the layers of my onion heart and finally found my way back to my true self. Depression is a crazy thing. Anxiety builds when I just want to express but procrastinate to do so. I let guilt seep in. The whispers of my insecurities. The giving in to my guilty pleasures of focusing on what I wish I had or wishing away hardships… I finally came back to myself. My sweet Charlene, things will never be easy. You choose your hardships. You choose your thoughts. You choose what you consume. It’s in your hands my love. Come back to me, pure heart, with thoughts unclouded. With forgiveness for your self and love and peace. We can remember. Remember why we are here. It doesn’t have to make sense to anyone but us. We are here to love. Thanks to my beautiful, truest friend for capturing these for me and for always accepting and seeing me. 🥲 These photos and video (soon to post) are my Reminder to remember to check in with myself daily to keep my pure heart perspective. The world is as bright as it is dark as is my heart. I will strive for balance. Love to all. ✌🏼🌀💓
