Step by Step Tutoring

School season has begun and with it come routines. If you are looking for a good tutor in reading,writing,math or just about anything, we have a few openings right now. Check out our flyer and feel free to give us a call or message.

As the school year begins, we would like to remind you of our tutoring services here in Edmonton. We live in NW Edmonton and have openings for K-10. We have enjoyed success with new clients over the past year and have openings for more. Tutoring at the start of the new year can give your child a head start and confidence. Is your child interested in improving their sports skills this summer? Dave has a BA degree in teaching kids K to 12 sports and physical education skills. He likes working with kids of all ages and has helped many improve their foundational skills in kicking, throwing hitting tossing etc.. He has a huge love for sports and a great understanding of gross and fine motor skills needed to experience success in team play. Maybe your child needs help to improve their skills for their soccer team this year or maybe you want to introduce them to throw or hit a ball for baseball. Dave has had so much success in helping kids improve these abilities at all ages. Behind our subdivision there are soccer fields and baseball fields for him to work with your child.

Dave loves to help students succeed at school. When he tutors, students gain confidence and improvement in English and math skills.  Dave is known for his ability to breakdown skills and concepts in ways that students can understand and experience success. He does it in such a way that helps students learn quickly and efficiently. He has helped students this past year in the junior elementary grades and early high school years to improve their marks and to be excited about what they have accomplished. His fun and humourous way with kids makes tutoring a pleasurable experience for them.
Dave would like to help your child prepare for the upcoming school year this summer. Maybe their final report card reflects a need for additional help this summer to get them ready for the new school year. Dave uses a variety of methods to teach foundational skills. He researches to find the best methods to help your child learn. He uses methods from the past like flashcards to manipulatives that are also important in learning. He uses technology and online learning.

Jody loves to teach children how to read and learn early math skills in lots of different ways. Her goal is to make it fun while helping kids teach the foundational skills they need when they are older. Jody has a beautiful and safe forest behind the subdivision where she lives. She loves to incorporate outdoor learning fun. She invites children of all skill levels. Your child may just want to have fun exploring reading and writing in creative ways this summer. She is open to any kind of learning possibilities.
Here is an example: Together we could write a book and illustrate it based on experiences in the forest. Jody has a BA in English and self-published some of her own books. She also has a love for art and has a variety of of art supplies.
Jody is also willing to work with older students to help them with their reading and writing abilities. Novel studies, poetry and creative writing are her specialties.

Check out our updated flyer! We have enjoyed tutoring students in Edmonton this past winter and spring and they are experiencing improvement and success in their learning. With summer approaching, now is the time to think about helping your child improve their skills in the summer months.

Just so you know know, if you live in the Hamptons area, we don’t mind coming to your house for tutoring.
