Our team recently wrapped up a dipole survey on a 62,000 m² square pond with a single geomembrane liner and a 1 ft. sand backfill. As you can see from the video below, the subgrade was completely saturated, and the rain didn’t make things any drier. But that didn’t slow us down—if anything, it worked in our favor.
Why?
A wet subgrade actually enhances leak detection. The moisture helps conductive pathways form, ensuring water flows through any holes in the liner, carrying electrical current that our advanced equipment can precisely detect.
Our ELL team took on the challenge and completed the survey in just 3 days, identifying all existing holes with pinpoint accuracy.
