Reminder for Cat Owners 🐱

We’ve seen an increase in cat waste on Civida housing site and wanted to share a quick reminder about responsible cat ownership.

While cats are allowed outdoors in Edmonton, they should not become a nuisance to neighbours, hold a valid cat license, and are always safest at home.

Cat waste can pose health risks, especially for children and other residents, so it’s important to clean up promptly and help keep shared spaces safe.

If your cat spends time outdoors, please ensure they are supervised or in a secure space (like a leash or catio), and that they’re properly licensed and identifiable. Please note that bylaw violations may result in fines.
