Paige Korbely 🏊 from

Paige is a grade 11 student at Pinetree Secondary who has excelled at both cross country and swimming as a prominent member on both teams. This year, Paige competed at the senior level and took home the Gail Sayers award with the fastest time for females. She qualified for provincials but was unable to attend due to her swimming commitments. Regarding swimming, she started when she was 7 years old and her love of swimming has seen her continue to advance. As captain of Pinetree’s aquatic team, she and three others represented Pinetree at provincials in Nanaimo this past fall. Outside of school, Paige is on both Team BC as well as Team Canada. She is going through Olympic trials this year to make the next Olympics. Another accomplishment that Paige is particularly proud of is her ability to maintain very good marks in all her classes and participate in other sports despite training around 20 hours a week in the pool.
