PERFECTION...and PEOPLE....that's a tough mixture
"I love people!"
"I am just a 'people person'"

I hear these phrases a lot when I ask someone why they want to be in Real Estate.

Yep. That's the start. The first ingredient for sure.

But do you only love people, when they act and conduct themselves the way you want them to? The way that makes you feel good. Are they there to make you feel good? Is that THEIR responsibility?

Do you love people enough to have complete empathy for them? To really feel for them? To give them grace? To have patience with them? To be there for them even when they don't "deserve" it?

What about those that offend you? Is it because you are easily offended? Or they are an offensive person? Or is it because they just don't know how valuable you are to their lives YET? So they may come across as "offensive".

Or maybe you need to put yourselves into their shoes for a bit. Think about the things that are stressful to them. The fears that they have. The people they are protecting. The experiences that they might have had in the past that has given them a different frame of reference.

Seek to understand. That will make you a great REALTOR.

While you are at it, showing yourself as a perfect being on social media is not fooling me. I know what you are going through. I do.

And try not to have "imposter syndrome" thinking that you don't measure up. There is more to the story. Don't get fooled by that. Just continue to work on yourself. Improving yourself. Educating yourself. Bettering yourself. All while nurturing a habit of SELF REFLECTION to keep yourself in check.
