This deck had a severe dip on the right side.
Turns out, someone had simply placed a cedar 6x6 directly onto a concrete filled sono tube and then buried it. So it rotted.
We jacked up the deck to its intended hight, being careful not to damage anything. Replaced the rotted cedar 6x6 with a new pressure treated 6x6, and attached it to the concrete with a anchor plate that ensures the new 6x6 stays 6 inches above the ground in order to avoid future problems.
Simple problems require simple solutions.
