Here is everything you need to know:
βοΈ The 37-year-old Calgary father facing two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of his young children made a brief first court appearance via CCTV on Monday.
π A publication ban currently protects the identities of the three- and five-year-old victims, meaning the accused fatherβidentified only by the initials MMβalso cannot be named.

βHere is everything you need to know:
βπ Calgary police have charged three men in a highly organized bank impersonation scheme that defrauded victims of an estimated $1.3 million.

π Following raids in Calgary and Edmonton, police seized over $59,000 in cash and arrested the three men, one of whom was already wanted on 10 Canada-wide warrants.

.π¨ MURDER TRIAL FOR ACCUSED KILLERS POTENTIALLY DERAILED BY SHOCKING LAWYER CONFLICT π¨
βHere is everything you need to know:
ββοΈ The first-degree murder trial for four individuals accused of killing Tara Miller in 2023 has been thrown into chaos on only its second day.
π The lawyer representing one of the accused, Greg Schuster, was forced to withdraw after a conflict of interest with several prosecution witnesses was revealed.
β³ This sudden development leaves Schuster without representation and threatens a months-long delay, pushing the case dangerously close to the Supreme Courtβs 30-month limit for a timely trial.
π To avoid having the charges potentially thrown out due to delays, the Crown prosecutor will apply next week to sever the trial and proceed against the three other accused separately.
ββI am not naive, I know how the game is played. A delay issue might result in a windfall for the accused.β β Court of King's Bench Justice Colin Feasby
