Yup, it’s beautiful, and heavy.

Cutting the end off of an appliance not only voids the CSA ratings but could also lead to an improperly wired appliance.

An untrained individual cut this off, costing the homowner more in the end to fix.

Use only certified, licensed and insured contractors. And don’t be afraid to ask for proof of credentials. All Electricians are required by regulations to carry proof of certifications with them at all times, including apprentices.

I’d provide any client with proof if asked.

You know what’s really bad.

When a homeowner is told that to change a range plug, standard 40A/240V circuit to a 6-20P / 6-20R set up was as simple as.

Cap off the red and connect the black, white and bond to the plug and turn the breaker back on!

How many of people here know what the 2 major issues are and the 1 minor issue is?

What does being an Electrician and business owner mean to you?

To me it’s being ethical, plain and simple.

It’s being open and transparent on the entire project. Sharing factual information, without any BS. Sharing costs if requested to show there is nothing to hide.

Customers deserve to have open and honest discussions with their contractors and talk the same when it comes to money.

Everyone is allowed to make a profit, on their labour and materials, that’s no secret. It’s when the profits are no longer justified, that’s when it’s unethical.

Starting in October 2025, Tri-Wave will be itemizing all costs and profit lines on every invoice, zero hidden or blended costs.

That’s what it means to me! Are you looking for honesty in your projects?

Just some small cable work, still to be completed on this 1.8MW generator.

Still lots left to complete on this and will update with finished photos.
