City Nature Challenge 2026 Observation period is a wrap! Probably the toughest weather Calgary has had to face over the past 8 years with winds up to 90km/hr and inches of snow throughout the weekend. did a great job of hosting the event this year! Here's a few observations made on Sunday April 26 exploring Dale Hodges Park and the ponds. Remember that the deadline to get your observations posted to is May 3 don't sleep on it!

Feels like a minute since sharing some posts but hoping to get back into it. Calgary's false spring seems to have tricked our willows into waking up a bit early while our fauna seem to be enjoying the reprieve. Or maybe spring is really almost here?
