We are looking for a General Laborer to take up manual labor tasks and support operations in our manufacturing site. We’d like you to have include stamina, attention to detail, problem solving skills and the ability to lift heavy loads. You should be able to concentrate on performing your tasks and commit to all safety requirements. If you fit this description, and you’re also interested in joining a fast growing company, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

Perform general housekeeping duties, clean-up worksites from hazardous or obsolete materials.
Complete daily/weekly/month maintenance inspections on machines, tools and/or equipment.
Assist welders, electricians, plumbers or other tradespeople on-site.
Handle and transport materials and equipment.
Sort, pack and unpack raw materials and finished goods and can include loading materials into production machines; moving raw and scrap materials, finished products and equipment throughout the facility.

Requirements

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)
Good hand-eye coordination
Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
Communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safety rules
Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary
Attention to detail, fast-paced, organized and a ‘can-do’ attitude is a must!
Any painting or welding experience would be an asset

Calgary Screw Piles is expanding! We are looking for a highly motivated individual with knowledge and experience working as a Pipefitter. An applicant must be excited about implementing new technologies such as Bitcoin mining to utilize excess energy.

The Steamfitter/Pipefitter will be responsible for the installation and repair of low/high pressure piping systems and their components. Through the use of blueprints and project specifications, the Steamfitter/Pipefitter will construct and repair piping systems that carry water, steam chemicals and fuel. Other responsibilities will include the testing of systems once they are in place, troubleshooting and ensuring their ongoing functionality.

Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements;
• Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machine;
• Select type and size of pipe required;
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools;
• Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system;
• Install supports, valves, piping and control systems;
• Test system for leaks using testing equipment;
• Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system;
• Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system;
• Involved in working with power tools and heavy equipment.
Requirements:
• Active Apprenticeship Program; Steamfitter / Pipefitter – as a minimum
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others;
• Perform heavy maintenance work involving climbing, rigging, and exposure to high pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems in accordance with all company safety procedures;
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence;
• Demonstrate practical problem solving ability. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Urgently Hiring Electricians!

Location: 3rd Ave NE, Calgary

Our cryptocurrency mining locations are growing, off-grid and on-grid. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with knowledge and experience working as an Electrician. An applicant must be excited about implementing new technologies such as Bitcoin mining to utilize excess energy. Understanding power generation, power distribution, and the basis of electrical code is a must.

Position Description:
• Producing electrical housing units for the Crypto currency industry.
• Implement electrical ideas in new products such as immersion-cooled data centers.
• Demonstrates ability to layout conduit systems, various lighting systems, basic control systems, and feeders.
• Reviewing existing electrical diagrams, optimize them, provide recommendations for new designs, and work closely with the manufacturing facility.
• Research NERC standards, implement them to existing electrical products.
• Work closely with production to meet NEC standards to UL list existing products.
• Prepare construction drawings, documents, calculations, and studies for medium and high voltage substation projects if such occur.
• Minor work with VFD, switchgear, MCC panel boards, service transformers, UPS, lights, and receptacles.
• Ensures all assemblies are built to specifications and accuracy expectations.
• Consistently follows workplace safety procedures and ensures manufacturing crews are working safely according to company policies.

Additional Valued Skills:
• Ability to perform load flow, voltage drop, short circuit analysis, and protective device coordination studies.
• Prior work experience in a power generating environment is preferred.
• Specific experience with high-voltage utility equipment, transformers, switchgear preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency mining, data center management preferred.
