🔎 INFORMATION SOUGHT 🔍

Police are asking the public for assistance in an ongoing arson investigation.

📍 At 4:40 a.m., on Sunday, April 19, 2026, a Volkswagen Passat was burned in the driveway of a home located in the 6000 block of Saddlehorn Drive N.E.

Security footage shows 2 people walk up to the car, then set it on fire.

They then flee east, toward a nearby school.

Anyone with information, or who may have dash camera footage of the area at the time of the incident, is asked to contact police by calling the non-emergency number.

🔵 CHARGE LAID 🔵

Our Homicide Unit has charged a man in relation to a fatal assault that occurred last month in the southeast community of Ogden.

📍 At approximately 9 p.m., on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, police were called for reports of a physical altercation occurring in a home in the 2300 block of Crestwood Road S.E.

Upon arrival, police located a man in his 20s suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.

As the investigation progressed, officers executed search warrants in the 0 to 100 block of Citadel Estates Terrace N.W.

📌 As a result, Wedial Buom MET, 22, is charged with one count of second-degree murder. MET is scheduled to next appear in court on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

This is believed to be a domestic-related incident and there is no threat to public safety.
