I met this sweet family at the Magical Beginnings Wedding Show, and I’m so glad our paths crossed! 🤍
We spent the evening in beautiful Lakefield capturing not only their engagement photos, but also the love, laughter, and connection that make their blended family so special. From cuddles by the water to playful moments between siblings, every part of this session felt so genuine and full of joy.
There were so many beautiful images from this session that narrowing down the gallery was nearly impossible! I’m so excited for these two as they continue this next chapter together, surrounded by the family they’ve built and the memories still to come. ✨

I’ll be away from my desk today capturing the beautiful wedding of these two! 💍✨
Messages and inquiries may take a little longer than usual, but I’ll get back to everyone as soon as I can. Wishing my wonderful couple the most incredible day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories! 🤍

Some babies are full of giggles, and some spend the session quietly taking it all in. 🌸🍎 This sweet girl was definitely the latter — serious, observant, and absolutely adorable in her little spring dress.

Some sessions hit a little differently. 💙
I've had the privilege of watching this beautiful young lady grow from a little girl into the incredible young woman she is today. Being trusted to document these milestones over the years has been such a joy, and this prom session felt especially meaningful.
As she steps into this next chapter, I'm so excited to see where life takes her and all the amazing things she'll accomplish. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey and preserve these memories along the way. ✨
Prom 2026 looked pretty amazing on you.

I debated on whether I was going to make this post, since I rarely share anything too personal on my business page, but as I’ve been reflecting lately, this message just felt too important not to share.
On May 17th, I lost my older brother at just 33 years old to esophagus cancer. He was diagnosed last summer with stage 4 cancer and fought so incredibly hard ever since. In the end, he lost his battle, and honestly, I’m still trying to process it all and figure out how to cope with such a huge loss.
But through all of this, one thing has really hit me hard — there are so few photos of my big brother.
We always talked about doing updated sibling photos. So many times we tried to plan them, but life happened. Schedules got busy, things got pushed back, and we always thought there would be more time. The reality is, you never truly know how much time you have left with the people you love.
Now I’m left wishing I had done more. My last photo with my big brother was around 2017… almost 10 years ago. You never realize how important those photos are until they’re all you have left to hold onto.
So please, take the photos.
Book the family session. Take the updated sibling photos. Capture your little ones, your parents, your grandparents, your extended family — whatever it may be. And even if it’s not with a professional photographer, even if it’s just blurry cell phone photos in the middle of everyday life, take them anyway.
Those moments matter so much more than we realize at the time.
One of my favourite quotes, and one that has stayed with me since I first started my photography journey, is:
“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever…it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
— Aaron Siskind
Now that I’ve said my peace, I will cherish every image I do have of my only big brother. I just wish I had made more time for more of them.
Please make the time. You will never regret documenting the people you love.
