Just a reminder: if your light bulb is “flickering,” it doesn’t necessarily mean you have a bad bulb. Case in point is the shorted out socket that had a fire potential.

Be sure to check the expiry dates on your "compact fluorescent light bulbs." All manufacturers' recommend replacing them every 5 years, as the internal components are prone to expire and create a heating effect after expiry. The warning labels are included with all lamps.
