The LT40 sawmill is set to receive a series of upgrades, including the installation of a hinge system for the head, allowing for smoother travel on the road. The machine's cutting width was previously expanded from 30 inches to 56 inches, substantially enhancing its capabilities. However, the head's extension beyond the truck's sides while in transit posed a safety risk. The new hinge design will ensure the sawmill remains within the truck's dimensions, avoiding potential collisions. The first phase of the upgrade has been completed, with the head now featuring its hinge, and a locking mechanism will be installed for when the machine is ready to cut. Additional improvements are being made to create a cutting-edge Wood-Mizer.
