Macro tracking isnโt for everyoneโbut for some, itโs a game-changer. Hereโs how to know if itโs worth trying:
โ
You feel lost when it comes to nutrition and portion sizes.
โ
Youโve tried every diet, but nothing sticks.
โ
You donโt want to follow a meal plan or give up foods you love.
โ
You want to learn how to fuel your body for YOUR specific goals.
Tracking isnโt the only way to reach your goals, but it can be an incredibly empowering toolโwhen used correctly. The goal isnโt to track forever, but to build knowledge and confidence in your choices.
๐ฌ Have you ever tracked macros before? What was your experience? Drop a comment below! ๐

Feeling stuck no matter how hard you diet or how much cardio you add? This might be due to ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ง๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ก.
Metabolic adaptation occurs when prolonged calorie restriction causes your body to conserve energy.
This isnโt a โbroken metabolism,โ but rather your body doing exactly what itโs designed to do: protect you from energy shortages.
๐๐๐ง๐โ๐จ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐จ:โจ๐ธ Your metabolism slows to match the lower energy intake.โจ๐ธ Non-exercise activity (like fidgeting and walking) decreases without you noticing.โจ๐ธ Hormones like leptin (hunger and fat loss regulation) and thyroid (metabolism regulation) decline, making fat loss harder.
๐๐๐ ๐ง๐๐จ๐ช๐ก๐ฉ? You need to eat less and less to see resultsโa cycle that isnโt sustainable or healthy.
๐๐๐ ๐จ๐ค๐ก๐ช๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ? Take a break from dieting. Giving your body time to recover with adequate calories and reduced stress can help restore your metabolism and set the stage for future fat loss success.
Fat loss isnโt about eating less foreverโitโs about when and how to diet effectively.

I remember being 12 years old, literally praying to God to โmake me skinny.โ I wanted to look like the women I idolized on Americaโs Next Top Model and I longed to feel like I belonged amongst my size 0 peers.
For years, I desperately chased โskinnyโ at any cost, even though most of my attempts failed.
Then I found weightlifting.
My focus shifted from wanting to be skinny to wanting to be strong, and through weight lifting, my body changed for the better. But even as I lifted heavy and was feeling stronger, I couldnโt shake that 12-year-oldโs desire for a smaller body.
So, I simply swapped one word for another, changing my goal from โskinnyโ to โleanโ and worked tirelessly to achieve it.
But that came with sacrificesโฆ
I skipped dinners with friends, terrified of eating foods I couldnโt track. I gave up slow Sunday mornings with my partner because I had to go to the gym. It came at the cost of my healthโI developed osteopenia in my hips and lost my menstrual cycle.
I was burnt out, inflamed, constantly sore, and anything but happy or healthy.
Today, I donโt want to chase skinny. I want to chase healthy.
Yes, I still want to feel confident in my clothes. And of course, sometimes I look back at photos of my leaner self and feel tempted to go back. But it will never come at the expense of my health.
So, am I my leanest? No. But I choose health, strength, and balance because being fit and healthy is the real goal.
