I’m proud to announce that I’ve officially filed my nomination papers to run for Mayor of Adjala-Tosorontio.
Serving you on Council has been an honour—and together, we’ve delivered real results: investing in infrastructure, strengthening our community, and planning for the future. But we’re not done yet.
With major provincial priorities now shaping our region, this is a critical moment for our township. We need strong, steady leadership to manage growth, protect what makes our community special, and seize the opportunities ahead.
I’m asking for your support to continue this work—this time as your Mayor.
This summer, you’ll see me out in the community—knocking on doors, listening to your ideas, and talking about the future we can build together.
Let’s get to work!

Significant growth proposed by the Province for Adjala-Tosorontio
ERO posted with Comments
Yesterday (April 7, 2026), the Province accepted the County of Simcoe’s Official Plan Amendment 7 (OPA 7) and also made modifications to certains parts of it. The County’s OPA 7 originally identified that our township had a population of 11,260 in 2021 and calculated growth to 2051 for an additional 710 people. This plan which was approved by the County did not consider growth in Colgan and Everett, which at the time of approval was already in advanced stages of approval. Our population with just the growth in Colgan blows past these calculations. As a result, in its approval yesterday of the County’s OPA 7, a carve out was made relating to population growth in South Simcoe with the province determining future growth considerations in line with the ERO’s posted by the province in August of 2025.
In the latest post made today by the Province in the Environmental Registry of Ontario (ERO), the Province identified a Priority Project for Everett. This is the Everett West Proposal which is a project for which an application for has not yet been made to the Township. Despite this, the proposal seeks to increase the population of Everett Settlement by 16,800 people. Two additional elementary schools, a community center are being proposed at this time.
The growth is not limited to Everett. There will also be additional growth to the north of the new Colgan Settlement area. This will develop the lands from Colgan to Keenansville. The details of that project include an additional 1500 homes (which if we calculate at 3.1 people per home is about 4650 people). There would also be a new School and Community Center as part of this Application.
Growth is being forced on our region as a whole. Are we ready for it? Have we done the prerequisite work required to manage this growth? Do we have the information required to make the best deals for our community? At this time, it is imperative that we proceed with visioning and planning to ensure that the proposals in our area are in line with the needs of the community.
Please ensure that you provide your comments to the Province by May 8, 2026 and as always, feel free to let me know your thoughts!
